Dalian (大连; Dàlián) is the second-largest city in Liaoning Province in Northeast China (Dongbei) and the largest port in Northeast China. It is also a major tourist destination for Chinese visitors.

Accommodation
- Guest participants will be accomodated at either of the following two hotels

Hotel 2 Dalian Haichuang Technology Communication Center (海创大连科技交流中心, Hi Chance Dalian Science & Technology Center )
The receptions are 24 hours open. Breakfast is included with the hotel accommodation. More information is provided below.

Lunch and dinner during the conference will be served at Hotel 1.
Apart from the conference period, you can also order food at the hotel restaurant. Lunch is served from 10:30 to 14:00, and dinner from 17:00 to 20:00. - Hotel 2

The hotel is next to Exit D of Dalian Maritime University Metro Station (海事大学站). Two shopping malls, Jinhui (锦辉) and Wanda (万达), are also nearby, and there are many restaurants in both malls. - From Airport to Hotels: around 15 km
Option 1 By taxi
A taxi from Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport to one of the above two hotels takes about 20 -30 minutes and costs around 30 RMB(~3.75 EUR).
Option 2 By metro
Take Metro Line 2 from Dalian Zhoushuizi International Airport (机场站) to Xi'an Road Station (西安路站)
transfer to Metro Line 1, from Xi'an Road Station to Dalian Maritime University Station (海事大学站)
and then walk.

Dalian Railway Station (大连站)
A taxi from Dalian Railway Station to one of the above two hotels takes about 30 - 35 minutes and costs around 40 RMB(~5.00 EUR).
Dalianbei Railway Station (大连北站, ''bei'' means ''north'' here)
A taxi from Dalianbei Railway Station to one of the above two hotels takes about 40 - 50 minutes and costs around 60 RMB(~7.50 EUR).

Currency Exchange
- Currency exchange services are available at the airport, and most foreign currencies can be converted into Chinese yuan. A service fee of 60 yuan applies per transaction. You can also request small denominations if needed. If you're arriving at the ''Domestic Arrivals'', simply go out through Gate 11 and re-enter through Gate 21. The exchange counters are located near Gate 23 on both the first and second floors.
- Next to the southwest gate of Dalian University of Technology, you'll find a China Construction Bank (中国建设银行) branch. It offers basic currency exchange services.
Payment
- In China, cash is still accepted everywhere. However, making change can be quite troublesome, so people have become much more accustomed to paying by scanning QR codes.
- Also there are some useful apps to download on your phone:
WeChat (微信), Alipay (支付宝).
You can link your bank card to WeChat or Alipay to make payments in China - remember to arrange for a Wi-Fi connection in advance!
